oklch

was introduced to OKLCH as an alternative to RGB. most explanations do a good job of explaining the LCH part (Lightness, Chroma, Hue). but where’s the OK from? apparently it’s derived from the Oklab color space. so i thought maybe this is like the CIELAB color space, where the CIE is an acronym for the institution that developed it? maybe if i search the name of the person who introduced it, i’ll find their site and a blog post about it and find an answer?

It is called the Oklab color space, because it is an OK Lab color space.

yeah, ok.
